The Democratic Front (DF) is leaving no stone unturned in its quest for victory in the January 15, 2026 elections. In a proactive move, the party has trained all its 88 parliamentary candidates and dozens of local government flag bearers on voter protection techniques and electoral procedures.
The training, held on December 30, 2025, at the party’s Namirembe headquarters, aimed to equip candidates with the necessary skills to safeguard the electoral process and engage effectively with constituents.
Party leaders explained that the importance of protecting each individual’s vote and maintaining peace during the elections.
DF Whip in Parliament, Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa (Ntebbe Municipality), expressed confidence in the party’s preparedness, stating that the training was a deliberate effort to fortify the party’s campaign strategies.
He urged participants to communicate the essential strategies to their electoral agents, ensuring the integrity of votes and preventing potential tampering.
The DF National Chairperson, Samuel Lubega Mukaaku, echoed the sentiment, reminding Ugandans that protecting each vote is a shared responsibility. He called on citizens to stay informed about electoral laws and maintain peace during the voting process.
The training covered comprehensive campaign strategies, enabling candidates to effectively reach out to their constituents. With this groundwork, the DF is poised to make a strong showing in the upcoming polls.
